repto: My opponent was nice but in my opinion not very experienced with Vampires. His roster was conservative, with only five Vampires. During the game, he rarely used Hypnotic Gaze, meaning he hardly played to his strongest weapon.

repto: Zwo, eins Risiko came to win, and they were in that mindset. Because of that, some Teammates had an unpleasant game. I got the sense that the chess clock was irritating my opponent a bit. He played at a good paste, so the clock wasn't nessesary. He had two Assassins with him. With a lucky stab, he took out either a Blitzer or a Ghoul (can’t quite remember) and then shouted “stabstabstab” to his teammates. However, I pushed back, and he ran out of rerolls, rolling a 1 at a crucial moment. At that point, he got really frustrated. I won the game, but it was not enjoyable.

repto: This game was tough. My opponent was focused and stressed but nowhere near as bad as the one before. I was able to prevent the Skaven from scoring for the most part. At the end, I stalled and played for a draw. I positioned my Ghoul with the ball in my farthest corner and placed my free players around the dangerous Gutter Runner, with one player between the Runner and the ball carrier. He then dodged the Gutter Runner through the tackle zones, blitzed my ball carrier with two dice against him, rerolled (since one die showed a skull), and got a push instead. He pushed my player, took the ball (since he had Strip Ball), and the ball bounced on the Gutter Runner, who caught it. With his last GFI (Go For It), he made it to the end zone. I should’ve positioned my Ghoul in such a way that he could’ve been pushed off the field, leading to a throw-in. Hindsight is always 20/20.

repto: A friendly opponent from Vienna with a Skaven team that I absolutely loved! What was remarkable is that in a critical situation, he dodged with his Rat Ogre, picked up the ball, and scored a touchdown.

repto: A very relaxed and fast game against an Italian opponent. He didn’t have much luck with his dice, so everything was still possible almost until the end. It’s a real shame that we lost this match—up until that round, we had a top score, especially considering we were complete beginners in team tournaments.
