The first game was directly against one of the three Dwarf teams participating. Four, if you count Chaos Dwarves. Because stunty teams had performed so well at the previous RanDALe Cup, everyone seemed to want to bring plenty of Tackle. The game was rather tough. At various points, I failed to pick up the ball on a 3+, even with a reroll. That was just bad luck. As a result, I couldn’t score during my offense and barely managed to score a touchdown during his turn with great effort. |

The Haranni Coal Miners are about to crush through the line of scrimmage.

I was well-prepared against the Imperial Nobility, as Ivan Deathshroud with
Juggernaut is well-suited to counter many of this team’s tricks. Add to that Mummies with Mighty Blow,
and my opponent had already lost their first game. So, I went into the match feeling optimistic.
Unfortunately, everything went wrong from the very beginning. He kept knocking my players out,
even in the very first round, leaving me constantly outnumbered. Ivan went down and off the pitch
several times but managed to save himself with Regeneration. Thanks to a lucky Kick-Off Event,
he managed to score in the first half during my offensive drive; otherwise, it would have ended in a draw. |

This game was played on a nice oldshool board. Unfortunately the squares are quite small for todays miniatures.

The final game had a relaxed atmosphere since neither of us had anything left to play for. Still, it was tough and grindy,
as you’d expect against Dwarves. He had very little Guard on his team—only two players, I think—so I had a strength advantage. I was able
to stop his offense. My own offense went quite well in the second half. I managed to send a few of his players to the bench and break
through his line. However, my dice luck wasn’t great overall, as I rolled Double Skulls several times.
In turn 13, I decided to stall because I had left him far behind. But he managed to mark my ball carrier. I tried to blitz his player away
with Ivan, but once again rolled Double Skulls and, of course, failed the Loner roll for the reroll. Suddenly, the game was wide open again.
Fortunately, he couldn’t get the ball because he had already used up all his rerolls and failed a key roll. Lucky me! |

Fuel_69s super cute Dwarf team.
